Ipswich Town has bolstered its roster by signing winger Julio Enciso and midfielder Abdoul Ouattara from Strasbourg. The Paraguay international, aged 22, and Ivorian talent, aged 20, have both committed to five-year contracts with the Tractor Boys.

The reported combined fee for these signings could reach £47.3m, highlighting Ipswich's aggressive approach in the transfer market. Both players are familiar with manager Gary O'Neil, having previously played under him in France.

Julio Enciso expressed his excitement about returning to Ipswich, stating:

"I am so happy to be back at Ipswich Town. I really enjoyed my time on loan at the club and I was so happy to see them win promotion back to the Premier League last season. The chance to play for him again at a great club like Ipswich is one I'm very excited for."

Abdoul Ouattara, who made 45 appearances for Strasbourg in the French top flight and was part of the squad that reached the Uefa Conference League semi-finals last season, shared his enthusiasm as well:

"I am still young but have had some good experiences already and I can't wait to meet the fans and my team-mates and get started."

Since their promotion from the Championship last season, Ipswich Town has invested heavily, spending a total of £150m on transfers, with the acquisitions of Ouattara and Enciso marking their 12th major signings.
