Recent discussions have focused on Alessandro Bastoni from Barcelona as a potential target for Inter Milan; however, new reports suggest that Inter is also interested in Ronald Araujo, a defender for Barcelona. After several seasons filled with speculation about his future, Araujo’s situation has become a topic of interest, particularly as he has struggled to secure a starting position this past year.

Currently, negotiations for Bastoni have come to a halt, as Barcelona manager Hansi Flick expresses doubts regarding the player’s fit within his system. Sporting Director Deco has reportedly agreed on terms with Bastoni and has a tentative price for negotiations with Inter, but Flick’s reservations complicate the situation.

Inter is closely monitoring Araujo's status, considering him a primary option to bolster their defense this summer. It remains uncertain whether they would contemplate including Araujo in a deal for Bastoni, should Flick approve.

Despite this interest, Araujo has shown no inclination to leave Barcelona. He remains under contract until 2030 and has expressed happiness at Camp Nou. Flick is expected to meet with him to discuss his future, as Araujo has been one of the higher earners at the club but has seen limited playing time, particularly in the second half of the season, following a mental health break.

In the current season, Araujo has made 37 appearances, scoring four goals; however, he has only started 15 times, falling behind teammates Eric Garcia, Pau Cubarsi, and Gerard Martin in the lineup.
