Inter Milan has officially signed Curtis Jones from Liverpool in a deal valued at 35 million euros (£30 million). The agreement includes a base fee of 30 million euros (£25.7 million), with an additional 5 million euros (£4.3 million) in potential add-ons. Jones, a 25-year-old midfielder, has committed to a contract with Inter lasting until 2031.

As part of the transfer, Liverpool has secured a 10% sell-on clause. This deal follows a previous rejection of a verbal offer from Inter in June, which amounted to 25 million euros (£21.7 million). At that time, Liverpool had assessed their academy graduate’s value at approximately £35 million.

The negotiations also reflected a benchmark set by Inter's £30 million package for Djed Spence from Tottenham, which Liverpool indicated would facilitate a potential agreement.

Inter’s interest in Jones dates back to January when they proposed a loan option that Liverpool declined. During his tenure at Liverpool, Jones made 228 appearances after making his debut under Jurgen Klopp in 2019. Last season, he participated in 49 matches across all competitions, but struggled for consistent starting opportunities in the Premier League under coach Arne Slot, with only 18 starts to his name.
