Goaltender Mat Robson delivered a remarkable performance, yet Great Britain succumbed to a 4-0 defeat against Finland at the Ice Hockey World Championship.

Finland struck early, with Ville Heinola scoring just one minute into the match from the left point. Despite this setback, Robson showcased his skills, successfully keeping the scoreline at bay for the remainder of the first period.

The scoring continued as Heinola netted a second goal midway through the game, following a momentary loss of his stick by Robson. Mikko Lehtonen then added a third for Finland, further complicating matters for the British side.

Robson, who plays for Coventry Blaze, continued to impress with his outstanding saves, notably a breakaway stop against Sakari Manninen. However, Henri Jokiharju capped off the match with a late goal in the third period, solidifying Finland's fifth consecutive victory in the tournament.

Currently, Great Britain remains winless in five games and sits at the bottom of Group A. They face crucial matches against Latvia and Germany on May 24 and 25.
