Henry Pollock is standing firm in his contract negotiations with Northampton Saints, despite reports of a potential deal worth around £400,000 a year. As of Monday, Pollock emphasized that no renewal has been signed, leaving his options open as he navigates this high-profile stand-off.

Phil Dowson, Saints' director of rugby, humorously noted that it would have been preferable to resolve the situation sooner, reflecting on the public nature of these negotiations. The ongoing saga has raised questions about whether it has affected Pollock's reputation, given his crucial role in helping Saints secure the Prem title last season.

Lis Saunders, chair of the Northampton Saints Supporters Group, expressed mixed feelings among fans. While she admires Pollock's talent, she acknowledged that some supporters are growing weary of the drawn-out contract discussions.

Pollock's situation has divided fans, as Charles McGillivray, a podcast host, pointed out. While some fans are disengaged, the majority appreciate Pollock's ambition and recognize Northampton as the best environment for his development.

With salary caps limiting spending, Pollock's potential move could impact the squad's dynamics. Fin Smith, a teammate, even joked that Pollock deserved a £1m salary, while Dowson humorously requested to borrow a private jet arranged by Pollock's advisor, Eddie Hearn.

Should Pollock depart, Newcastle Red Bulls and French clubs in the Top 14 present viable options. However, a move to France could jeopardize his England career due to contractual implications. Pollock has also hinted at exploring opportunities in other sports, possibly eyeing rugby league or even ventures in boxing and UFC.

As the situation unfolds, Pollock's future remains uncertain, with fans eager for clarity on his next steps.
