Harry Brook expressed optimism about England's chances of becoming the world’s top T20 side following a commanding nine-wicket victory over India at Bristol. This win secured an unassailable 3-0 series lead for England ahead of the final match at Southampton.

Brook, who scored an impressive 79 not out off 35 balls, emphasized the significance of clinching another win. He stated, “To beat India 4-0 would be a pretty special series win, to go number one in the world would be even better.” He acknowledged the potential of England taking the top spot in the men’s world T20 rankings, noting, “That’s our main aim, we want to go out there and beat them convincingly.”

Despite a recent setback in the Test series against New Zealand and the surprising retirement of captain Ben Stokes, Brook highlighted the positive trajectory of England's white-ball team. He remarked, “The white-ball side’s been on a really good path... We’ve been playing extremely good cricket.”

In the match, Jofra Archer (2 for 20) and Josh Tongue (2 for 38) were instrumental in restricting India to 158 for seven, with Shreyas Iyer scoring an unbeaten 80. Brook and opener Phil Salt, who contributed 59 not out from 42 balls, forged a strong partnership of 146 runs, leading England to victory with 37 balls to spare.

Brook praised the team's adaptability and execution, stating, “We adapted to the surface really well... the communication from the coaches on to the field was exceptional.” With one game remaining, England looks to solidify their place at the top of T20 cricket.
