Harlem Eubank is gearing up for a pivotal fight against David Papot at the Copper Box Arena this Saturday, aiming for victory to secure a shot at the newly crowned IBF world champion Liam Paro. Eubank believes that a win over Papot, who suffered his only defeat to Paro last September, will position him favorably in the IBF rankings.

Eubank acknowledges he enters the ring as an underdog, stating, "I'm the betting underdog in this fight. He is an experienced operator. It's a fight that excites me and I can't wait to get in there."

Eubank's last bout was a technical decision loss to Jack Catterall in July, but he sees this matchup as an opportunity to reclaim his standing. He noted, "I see this as a bit of an eliminator," emphasizing that defeating Papot could elevate him to a top-five ranking, paving the way for a title fight against Paro.

Having not fought since November, where he achieved a shutout points win over Josh Wagner, Eubank has focused on Papot's previous performance against Paro, believing it showcases the Frenchman's capabilities. He remarked, "We actually thought he won that fight, and my team decided this was exactly the fight I needed to push on and really earn a world title opportunity."

Paro recently claimed the IBF title from Lewis Crocker, and Eubank is confident he can dethrone the champion if he secures a victory this weekend. He observed, "Crocker just started too late and he'll be kicking himself for that. Paro knows how to do just enough to win. He started fast and just about pulled it off."
