Celtic has officially signed winger Haissem Hassan from Real Oviedo in a deal that could reach £9 million. The Egypt international completed his medical in London and inked a four-year contract, with an option for an additional year.

The agreement includes an initial fee of approximately £6 million, with £3 million in potential add-ons. Notably, a significant portion of the bonus payments will be contingent on Celtic advancing to the league phase of the Champions League later this month.

Hassan is expected to be registered in time to compete in Celtic's Champions League play-off against LASK Linz next week, with the registration deadline set for Thursday. The club has the opportunity to add two more players before the upcoming Tuesday.

This signing comes as Celtic gears up to defend their title, with their season opener against Dundee approaching.

Hassan, who showcased his talents during the recent World Cup, has been a long-term target for Celtic, as they sought a left-footed right-winger in this transfer window. The 24-year-old had a productive season with Real Oviedo, making 38 appearances and providing three assists from his favored position on the right wing.

Hassan becomes Celtic's third signing of the summer, following the acquisitions of strikers Camilo Duran and Kasper Hogh.
