Nat Sciver-Brunt has declared that England will go "toe-to-toe" with Australia in the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup final at Lord’s. The rivalry has been heavily tilted in Australia’s favor recently, with Australia sweeping the Ashes 16-0 18 months ago, resulting in the departures of head coach Jon Lewis and captain Heather Knight.

However, England enters this match with renewed confidence after a dominant victory over South Africa, winning by 40 runs in front of a crowd of 21,128 at the Oval semi-final.

Both teams have been undefeated throughout the tournament, but Sciver-Brunt emphasized that England will not back down in their pursuit of their first trophy since 2017. When asked about their confidence level ahead of facing Australia, Sciver-Brunt affirmed, "Yes. I think so. Certainly a final."

She noted that the positive atmosphere within the team has been key to their success and expressed eagerness for the challenge, stating:
