Gabriel Jesus has officially completed his transfer to Barcelona from Arsenal, marking the culmination of a long-held aspiration for the Brazilian forward. The deal, valued at £8.6m (€10m), secures Jesus at the Spotify Camp Nou until June 2029.

The transfer comes as Barcelona continues to explore options for other players, including Julian Alvarez, although these pursuits remain independent from Jesus' move. Previously, Jesus had joined Arsenal from Manchester City for £45m four years ago and was also on the radar of Napoli.

During his time at Arsenal, Jesus netted 32 goals in 123 appearances, but his last season was marred by injury, limiting him to just three Premier League starts. He suffered a knee injury in a January 2025 FA Cup match against Manchester United, which sidelined him for the majority of the year.
