Fabio Wardley has proposed that trainer Ben Davison might provide Anthony Joshua with crucial "inside knowledge" ahead of his highly anticipated fight against Tyson Fury. Scheduled for December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, this heavyweight clash promises to be a defining moment for both fighters.

Wardley, a former WBO heavyweight champion who collaborates with Davison, emphasized the importance of the trainer's familiarity with both boxers. He remarked, "Your trainer, irrespective of working with people previously, is a huge factor going into the fight. There will be some inside knowledge, however applicable that is and however it's used in the fight, maybe, maybe not. It always depends on the fighter you have in front of you. You play to their strengths, not to the opponent's weaknesses."

Despite Fury branding Davison a "traitor," former world champion George Groves defended the trainer's role, pointing out that he has worked with many heavyweights, suggesting that Fury’s departure from Davison was likely voluntary. Groves stated, "It's just more banter, not that the fight needs it."

Joshua recently trained with Oleksandr Usyk's team before reuniting with Davison for this fight, and Groves believes this was a wise choice. He noted that having a familiar voice in the corner during critical moments can be invaluable.

Moreover, Wardley is set to reclaim the WBO heavyweight title in his upcoming rematch against Daniel Dubois. He expressed hope that the winner of Fury vs Joshua would face him next, affirming, "It is a fight worthy of a world title... Does them two coming together deserve a world title on the line? It probably does."

As the boxing world eagerly awaits this showdown, the stakes couldn't be higher, with both pride and titles on the line.
