After several years of mid-table stability, Fulham is poised for a significant shift in ambition with new management. Following the departure of Marco Silva, Alvaro Arbeloa has taken the reins, and he aims to make a splash in the transfer market.

Arbeloa, familiar with Gonzalo Garcia from his time managing Real Madrid’s Castilla youth team, is keen to recruit him as Fulham's new number 9. The club is reportedly prepared to make a club record offer of £60 million for Garcia, who has become a sought-after player. The proposed deal may involve a unique arrangement where Fulham could purchase 50% of Garcia, allowing Real Madrid the option to buy him back or share in any future profit.

In addition to Garcia, Arbeloa is also considering a move for fellow Castilla player Cesar Palacios, who could be acquired for a more modest fee.
