Three-time Pro Bowl edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney is making a notable return to the Houston Texans after agreeing to contract terms, as reported by ESPN.

Clowney, the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, concluded his 2025 season with the Dallas Cowboys, where he impressively recorded a career-high three sacks in a single game against the New York Giants. Despite joining the Cowboys late in the season, he managed to finish with 8.5 sacks, marking his best performance since achieving 9.5 sacks in 2023 with the Ravens. This impressive tally led the Cowboys in 2025.

Now at 33 years old, Clowney prepares for a promising 2026 season alongside the Texans' dynamic edge-rusher duo of Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter. Anderson's stellar performance in 2025 included:

• 12 sacks, ranking eighth in the league
• 93 quarterback pressures, third in the NFL
• A 21% pressure rate, leading the league among players with over 300 pass rushes

Anderson's achievements earned him his first first-team All-Pro selection and a lucrative three-year, $150 million contract extension. Hunter also shone with 15.0 sacks, placing him third in the NFL.

Clowney enters the upcoming season with 66.5 career sacks, 120 tackles for loss, 16 forced fumbles, and 15 fumble recoveries. Notably, his three fumble returns for touchdowns are the highest among active players.
