The Dallas Cowboys faced another disappointing chapter in their history, marking their fifth straight loss to the Arizona Cardinals at AT&T Stadium. Their 33-30 overtime defeat in Week 8 stands out as particularly disheartening, especially given that they had a 10-point lead with just under four minutes left in regulation.

Former Cowboys quarterback Ben DiNucci did not hold back in his criticism, labeling the performance as "embarrassing." He expressed his disbelief over the team's inability to maintain a lead, noting that they had previously won 69 consecutive games at home when leading by such a margin in the fourth quarter.

DiNucci's remarks included:

They stink. I'm lost for words, honestly. They have so much talent on both sides of the ball, and year after year, week after week, all we see is just letdowns from them. Somebody needs to look themselves in the mirror.

The Cowboys were fortunate to even reach overtime, thanks to a missed extra point by the Cardinals on their final touchdown. The comeback was led by backup quarterback Gardner Minshew, who took over for Jacoby Brissett, along with running back Tyler Allgeier.

As the Cowboys struggle to keep pace in the NFC East, DiNucci emphasized the need for a cultural shift within the team. He suggested that key players, including Dak Prescott, Quinnen Williams, and CeeDee Lamb, must step up and take responsibility for the team's direction.

He also pointed out the challenges players face off the field, stating, "There’s just a lot that comes with being a Dallas Cowboys football player, and I wonder if that at some point starts to take a toll on guys."

With the pressure mounting, the Cowboys must find a way to address these issues if they hope to salvage their season.
