Nottingham Forest is actively negotiating a €15m (£12.8m) deal for Javi Rueda, the right-back from Celta Vigo. This transfer could mark the club's final addition of the transfer window, following the acquisition of Liam Delap from Chelsea.

Oliver Glasner, the Forest manager, is in search of a player capable of fulfilling the right wing-back role, and the 24-year-old former Real Madrid academy talent meets the criteria. Rueda, who has been with Celta for three years, made a significant impact last season, participating in 26 La Liga matches and 11 Europa League games, contributing to Celta's journey to the quarter-finals.

In a related move, Forest announced on Wednesday that wing-back Eric da Silva Moreira will spend the season on loan at the Dutch club Excelsior, aimed at enhancing his development.

On the other hand, Chelsea has finalized a £50m sale of Delap to Forest, while Axel Disasi has been loaned to Crystal Palace for the season. Disasi, who previously had loan spells with Aston Villa and West Ham, remarked on the challenge of playing at Selhurst Park, expressing enthusiasm about experiencing it from the opposing side.
