As Week 9 approaches, fantasy football managers must keep a close eye on several backfields that are experiencing significant changes. Notably, Mike Washington Jr. stands out as a prime addition after taking over as the lead running back for the Las Vegas Raiders in a 60-40 split against the New York Jets. With Jonathan Taylor potentially being traded, Seth McGowan could also emerge as a flex option for the Indianapolis Colts.

Key Players to Monitor:

• Mike Washington Jr. (Raiders) - Strong flex option against San Francisco.
• Devin Singletary (Giants) - Likely starter vs. Philadelphia after injuries to Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy Jr.
• Tyler Allgeier (Cardinals) - Dominated against Dallas and could be a flex option at Seattle if injuries persist.

Quarterbacks to Consider:

• Sam Darnold (74% rostered) - Solid performance against the Bears; favorable matchups ahead.
• Kirk Cousins (73% rostered) - Consistent scoring, despite a tough upcoming schedule.

Drop Candidates:

• Lamar Jackson (100% rostered) - Expected to undergo thumb surgery.
• Baker Mayfield (55% rostered) - Struggling as a game manager.
• Aaron Rodgers (54% rostered) - Underperforming with a tough matchup ahead.

Running Back Additions:

• Jadarian Price (81% rostered) - Returned strong after injury.
• Alvin Kamara (80% rostered) - Versatile option if Travis Etienne remains sidelined.

Tight Ends to Target:

• Brenton Strange (82% rostered) - Low-end starter potential.
• T.J. Hockenson (69% rostered) - Must-start with consistent performance.

With several teams on bye and numerous injuries to monitor, fantasy managers should prepare to utilize their FAAB wisely this week. Keep an eye on the waiver wire as the landscape continues to shift.
