The Italian club initially aimed to secure the Brazilian star but has pivoted following Liverpool's firm stance against any transfer.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Juventus is eager to bring in Martinez as they prepare for the upcoming season. Romano shared on X:

While the club is enthusiastic about acquiring the 2022 World Cup winner, they recognize that negotiating a deal will be challenging due to Martinez's substantial salary expectations, which could strain Juventus's wage structure.

In the event that discussions for Martinez become too complex, Juventus has identified Guglielmo Vicario, the Tottenham goalkeeper, as a viable backup option. Vicario has garnered interest from several Serie A clubs, including Inter Milan, and remains a strong contender if the Martinez deal falters.

Despite Martinez's popularity and recent success at Aston Villa, the club may find itself in a position where selling him becomes necessary to support further investments in the squad under manager Unai Emery.
