Pedro Neto was the star of the match, scoring both goals for Chelsea. He opened the scoring just 44 seconds into the second half, capitalizing on a quick counter-attack initiated by Rogers and Hato. Neto’s calm finish into the bottom right corner set the tone for Chelsea's dominance in the second half.

The game was marred by a serious injury to Emi Martinez, who was taken to the hospital after a collision during a corner. His condition remains a concern for Chelsea, although they celebrated their first clean sheet in the league since January, snapping a 23-game streak.

Despite a scrappy first half, Chelsea's adjustments at halftime allowed them to control the game, with Owen Hargreaves naming Neto as the Player of the Match.
