Muirhead, who retired at just 32 after achieving Olympic gold, bronze, and experiencing heartbreak in 2018, transitions to a leadership role post-retirement, becoming Chef de Mission for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics after successfully leading Team GB at the Winter Youth Olympics in 2024.

Despite her administrative success, Muirhead feels a strong desire to compete again, particularly in mixed doubles, where she aims to complete her collection of Olympic medals. In her words, "I feel like that kind of the fire's re-lit... I feel like I've still got something I kind of want to prove there."

I'm most definitely going back there to push hard for number one to get selected... It's going to be tough, but of course that's the dream.
