Nearly a year later, Dillon played a pivotal role in the play-off semi-final, scoring the crucial goal that propelled the Swifts past the Reds. Dillon reflected on the team's journey:

We were in a relegation play-off a couple of years ago and now we're competing for Irish Cups and European play-offs. Losing an Irish Cup was tough, but we can’t be too disheartened.

After the disappointment of last week, Dillon expressed excitement about the opportunity to qualify for Europe again. He noted, "After the disappointment last week, it’s obviously great having another chance of getting into Europe."
