Some match tickets for Euro 2028 in the UK and Ireland will cost less than a parking space at this summer’s World Cup in USA, Canada, and Mexico. Uefa has committed to affordable pricing for their event in two years’ time.

According to The Times, the cheapest Euro 2028 tickets are set to cost less than £30, with Uefa ensuring that 40 percent of tickets fall within the “most affordable categories.” These brackets were €30 (£26) and €60 (£52) for Euro 2024 in Germany, and prices are expected to remain similar for the 2028 tournament.

Key ticket pricing details include:

• 15 percent of tickets available for £30 or less
• 25 percent of tickets priced at £60 or less

Fans could purchase two Euro tickets for roughly the same price as parking for a World Cup group match, where parking at AT&T Stadium in Arlington costs $75 (£57).

In contrast, World Cup ticket prices have faced severe backlash, with Fifa being accused of a “monumental betrayal” as tickets range from $140 (£106) for the cheapest group games to $8,680 (£6,564) for the final. A minor compromise allowed 10 percent of allocations to be fixed at $60 (£45), but many fans still feel the pricing is exploitative.

Football Supporters Europe (FSE) has lodged a formal complaint with the European Commission, criticizing Fifa’s ticketing policy and dynamic pricing. Fifa president Gianni Infantino claimed demand equated to “1,000 years of World Cups at once.”

For Euro 2028, Uefa plans to introduce a premium seating category to boost revenue, with three million tickets set to go on sale after the finals draw in December 2027. The commitment to a “fair, transparent and fan-first ticketing process” stands in stark contrast to Fifa’s approach, allowing fans to potentially secure tickets for all seven matches, including the final, for as little as £325.
