Enzo Maresca is contemplating resting Erling Haaland in the upcoming weeks as Manchester City navigates a hectic schedule. Haaland has already made 13 starts this season, including four appearances for Norway during the international break.

As the Premier League leaders prepare to host Ipswich on Saturday, Haaland recently scored twice in a 4-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. Following the match, Maresca acknowledged the need for squad rotation, especially with the team's forthcoming Champions League clash against AEK Athens on Tuesday.

Maresca stated, "At some point we probably need to give him rest, some days off," emphasizing the importance of managing player fatigue. He noted that the rotation consideration extends beyond just Haaland, mentioning other key players:

• Elliot Anderson
• Enzo Fernandez
• Marc Guehi
• Ruben Dias

Currently, City has won all six of their Premier League matches this season and aims to continue their winning streak against newly promoted Ipswich. This match marks City’s first home game since being found guilty of multiple Premier League charges, a verdict they are appealing while maintaining their innocence.
