Elliot Anderson’s upcoming transfer to Manchester City will not distract him from his goal of winning the World Cup, as confirmed by teammate Jarell Quansah. The 23-year-old has become integral to Thomas Tuchel’s squad since his debut last September and showcased his talent during England’s recent matches, including a thrilling 4-2 victory over Croatia and a 0-0 draw with Ghana.

Heading into the final group stage match against Panama, Anderson is set to join City in a deal worth £116m, with a medical scheduled once the team arrives in the Tri-State Area. Quansah remarked on Anderson's unwavering focus:

I see a player that’s fully focused on what he wants, and I think at the moment what he wants is to win a World Cup. He’s a proper focused young lad and he’ll go right to the top I think.

Anderson has thrived in a deeper midfield role under England Under-21s coach Lee Carsley, contributing significantly to their European Championship triumph last summer. Quansah praised his versatility, noting:

He’s played a deeper role, played in a sort of a six and sometimes an eight. He’s got probably everything you want as a midfielder.
