England has announced the inclusion of uncapped players Aneurin Donald and Henry Crocombe in their squads for the upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka.

Aneurin Donald, who plays as an opener for Derbyshire, has been selected for the 16-player squad for the three-match T20 series. He has had an outstanding season, scoring 489 runs in 12 matches while captaining the Derbyshire Falcons in the Vitality Blast, where he also hit a record 37 sixes. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in leading Trent Rockets to the final of The Hundred, although his team lost to the Manchester Super Giants.

Henry Crocombe, a 24-year-old seamer from Sussex, has made the 16-man line-up for the three one-day internationals. He has achieved remarkable feats in the County Championship, including hat-tricks in his last two matches and three five-wicket hauls this season.

In team updates, all-rounder Jacob Bethell will miss the series after undergoing successful knee surgery, targeting a return for the white-ball series against Australia in November. He suffered the injury during the ODI series against India and will also miss the ODI tri-series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in October.

Moreover, batter Phil Salt is sidelined due to a right quad injury, while bowler Jamie Overton returns to both squads after missing the previous series against India due to a thigh injury.
