Former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom claims he was denied entry into Game 3 of the WNBA Finals between the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday night. Freedom took to social media, revealing that he declined an offer to sit in a private suite due to safety concerns.

State Farm Arena confirmed in a statement that Freedom had contacted various authorities, including the WNBA, regarding his safety during the game. They emphasized that the safety and security of guests is their top priority.

• After discussions with the WNBA, Dream ownership, and arena officials, they offered Freedom the suite to ensure his safety.
• The suite was to have additional security, and state police assigned an officer to him at his request.

In a pre-game video, Freedom alleged that arena security was preventing him from accessing his purchased seats. A public relations official from State Farm Arena stated that the suite was provided for his safety, which Freedom declined.

Freedom expressed frustration on social media, stating, "I just got kicked out of a WNBA game for the second time in a row for supporting WOMEN!"

Previously, he faced ejection from a Chicago Sky vs. Indiana Fever game following a verbal altercation with Sky guard Natasha Cloud. Although he was banned indefinitely from Wintrust Arena by Sky ownership, the WNBA did not impose a league-wide ban.

The WNBA has been at the center of a heated debate regarding eligibility, especially after comments from Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham. Freedom and fellow former NBA player Royce White have publicly stated their intentions to enter the 2027 WNBA Draft, claiming to identify as women, a position that has raised significant controversy.
