Emma Raducanu has officially withdrawn from the upcoming Linz Open, prioritizing her recovery from an illness that has affected her performance. Her team confirmed this decision as she focuses on regaining full fitness.

The British number one also opted out of the Miami Open to continue her rehabilitation from post-viral symptoms linked to an illness contracted in Romania in early February. This marks her third consecutive withdrawal, having previously stepped back from Great Britain’s Billie Jean King Cup qualifier against Australia.

Raducanu's last competitive match was on March 8, where she faced a tough defeat against Amanda Anisimova, losing 6-1, 6-1 in the third round at Indian Wells. Following that match, she expressed concerns about her performance, highlighting a lack of power and the need to be more aggressive against top players.

To aid her recovery and development, Raducanu has been working informally with Mark Petchey after parting ways with her latest coach, Francisco Roig, in January. The 23-year-old now aims for a possible return to the WTA Tour in Madrid later this month.
