Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley and his family remained unharmed following an attempted home invasion on Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 5 a.m., as reported by the Tredyffrin Township Police Department and the Chester County District Attorney's Office.

During the break-in, at least one suspect entered the Barkley residence while the family was inside.

• Captain Tyler Moyer stated, "All of the occupants in the home were physically OK, obviously a little unsettled as anybody would be, but nobody was harmed."

Authorities are currently pursuing a white SUV and two suspects believed to be involved in the crime. Fortunately, it appears that nothing was taken during the attempted robbery. The district attorney's office expressed relief over the family's safety and urged the public to assist in identifying the suspects by reviewing any home security footage from the time of the incident.

In a statement, the D.A.’s office said, "We are incredibly grateful that the Barkley family was not injured during this incident. If you saw anything unusual or have video that may assist investigators, please contact the Tredyffrin Township Police Department immediately."

This incident is part of a troubling trend, as other NFL stars like Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, and Travis Kelce have faced similar threats. In January 2025, four men were arrested in connection with a burglary at Burrow's home, while in February 2025, seven individuals were charged in relation to burglaries involving several high-profile athletes.

Police are collaborating with federal law enforcement to determine if this attempted burglary is connected to the recent spate of home invasions targeting professional athletes.
