Paul Casey made an emotional vow to donate all his prize money to the victims of the Crans-Montana bar fire after taking a commanding three-shot lead in the DP World Tour's Omega European Masters on Saturday. The English golfer delivered an impressive performance, carding eight birdies, including a spectacular one on the 18th hole, to finish the third round at seven-under-par.

The tournament, held at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Switzerland, comes in the wake of a tragic incident where 41 people lost their lives and 115 were injured in a bar fire on New Year's Day. Casey, who now resides in Switzerland, expressed deep emotional ties to the area, stating, "I love this place. I really do, so it was a wonderful day. This is now home."

He committed to donating his winnings, emphasizing, "Tomorrow, whatever happens, and I hope I win, I'll make sure that all my prize money is going to the charity and the victims of the fire here in Crans-Montana."

Following rounds of 64 and 67, Casey's recent performance has reignited hopes for his first DP World Tour victory in over five years. Despite a wrist injury earlier this season that nearly sidelined him, he remains optimistic about his game, stating, "I honestly feel really good and I feel somewhat fresh."

Chasing Casey are Maximilian Steinlechner, Erik van Rooyen, and Spanish duo Nacho Elvira and Eugenio Chacarra, who are all three shots back. Other contenders include Angel Ayora at -12, and Todd Clements, Francesco Laporta, and Keita Nakajima tied at -11.
