US President Donald Trump has shared his thoughts on England’s tactics following their 2-1 defeat to Argentina in the World Cup semi-final. Speaking at a press conference before the World Cup final and third place playoff, Trump critiqued the role of Harry Kane, who he believes was misused in the match.

Kane, a top striker, drifted deep into defense after Anthony Gordon scored, a tactical choice Trump found questionable. He stated, "You have a great player in England who I’ve played golf with. And he is Harry [Kane] who has been fantastic. I think they perhaps made a mistake when they made him a defensive player."

Despite this setback, Kane has a chance to end on a high note with the upcoming third place match against France, potentially securing the World Cup Golden Boot.

Former England midfielder Paul Scholes also criticized Kane’s deep positioning, expressing frustration over his movement into midfield.

Looking ahead, Kane, who turns 33 later this month, remains in excellent form. While he is uncertain about participating in the 2030 World Cup, he expressed pride in representing the national team and emphasized a year-by-year approach to his career.
