Tottenham Hotspur is currently in discussions with Inter Milan regarding the potential transfer of Djed Spence. The Italian club believes that a total package of £30 million could successfully secure the deal, and Spurs are reportedly open to selling if the offer meets their expectations.

Spence faces limited opportunities at Spurs this season, with competition for the left-back position from Destiny Udogie and Andy Robertson, while Pedro Porro remains the primary choice on the right.

Inter Milan aims to recruit a new wing-back and has prioritized Spence after encountering difficulties in negotiations for Moussa Diaby from Al Ittihad.

Roberto de Zerbi, Tottenham's manager, expressed confidence about the club's transfer activities, stating that they are "not finished yet" in the market as they strive to strengthen their Premier League squad. Following a narrow escape from relegation last season, Spurs have already invested approximately £237 million, breaking their transfer record twice with acquisitions of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali. Additionally, Jan Paul van Hecke joined from Brighton for £52 million, and several players, including Martin Dubravka, Robertson, and Marcos Senesi, signed on as free agents.

De Zerbi emphasized the importance of high ambitions from the club's ownership and board, noting, "To compete in the Premier League, you need first [the] level of the players." He remains hopeful that Spurs will soon challenge for better positions in the league.
