Amy Hunt continued her impressive form by securing a second-place finish in the women's 200m at the Diamond League in Lausanne. The Briton clocked a time of 22.32 seconds, narrowly missing out on first place to Kayla White of the United States, who won the race in 22.18 seconds.

In a dramatic photo finish, Hunt edged out Nigerian sprinter Favour Ofili, who had a strong performance but ultimately finished behind her. The race saw a notable absence of former world champion Shericka Jackson, who suffered a leg injury during the event, while two-time Diamond League champion Brittany Brown did not start.

This event followed Hunt's remarkable week at the European Championships in Birmingham, where she made history by winning four gold medals:

• Women's 4x100m relay
• Mixed 4x100m relay

This achievement made her the first athlete to win four gold medals in a single edition of the European Championships.
