Real Madrid officially signed Denzel Dumfries, the Netherlands full-back, from Inter Milan on a four-year deal. Although the exact transfer fee remains unconfirmed, reports indicate that the Spanish giants activated the player's release clause, set at 20 million euros (£17.1 million).

This acquisition marks Real Madrid's fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, and Ibrahima Konate. Dumfries is expected to intensify competition for the right-back position, notably against England international Trent Alexander-Arnold.

During his tenure with Inter Milan, Dumfries played a pivotal role in securing two Serie A titles and three Coppa Italia trophies after moving from PSV in 2021. Over his time with the Nerazzurri, he made 207 appearances, contributing 27 goals and 28 assists. Additionally, he was instrumental in helping the Netherlands reach the last 32 at the recent summer World Cup.
