David Webb, the young English coach who recently concluded his time with Georgia, shared insights about his journey and aspirations in an interview with Sky Sports. Joining Georgia's staff in 2023, Webb experienced a remarkable adventure that culminated in the nation’s first participation in a major international tournament at Euro 2024.

Reflecting on his time, Webb described the experience as "amazing" and emphasized his readiness to pursue a head coaching role. He stated, "I have had a good grounding" from various experiences with both big and small clubs, which he believes gives him an edge in management.

Webb’s career path has been unconventional; he never earned a professional contract as a player. Instead, he began coaching at a young age and gradually built his resume, including roles at Wimbledon, Crystal Palace, and Millwall. His diverse background also includes positions in recruitment for clubs like Tottenham and AFC Bournemouth.

His coaching philosophy is heavily influenced by his master's degree in sports psychology, which he pursued to better connect with players. Webb emphasized the significance of understanding players beyond their on-field performance, stating, "You need to know the person. What are they going to bring to the culture?"

During his tenure with Georgia, Webb played a multifaceted role, involving tactical preparations and psychological support. He highlighted a poignant moment when a player confided about a personal issue, stressing the importance of one-on-one conversations in coaching.
