Nottingham Forest has finalized the signing of Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace in a transfer deal valued at up to £22 million. The 30-year-old right wing-back has signed a three-year contract with the option for an additional year, reuniting with former Palace manager Oliver Glasner at the City Ground.

Crystal Palace facilitated Munoz's departure following their acquisition of Anan Khalaili from Union Saint-Gilloise, allowing them to profit from a player they signed for £8.5 million in January 2024. Munoz played a pivotal role in Palace's Conference League and FA Cup victories last season.

In his first statement as a Forest player, Munoz expressed gratitude, stating:

I'm really thankful... to this management which has faith in my skill and my talent. I'm really excited and I can't wait to get out on the pitch to help my new teammates achieve all the objectives for this season.

As Nottingham Forest looks to strengthen their squad, they are reportedly interested in Jacob Murphy from Newcastle United following the departure of Omari Hutchinson to AC Milan. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace is in discussions to sign Honest Ahanor from Atalanta on loan, while Ismaila Sarr remains a player of interest despite Palace's insistence that he is not for sale.

The transfer window is set to close on Tuesday at 11pm, with both clubs actively working on finalizing their squads.
