Crystal Palace has faced a setback in their pursuit of midfielder Lamine Camara as their verbal bid was rejected by Monaco. The offer, reportedly exceeding £35m, would have positioned Camara among the most expensive signings in the club's history.

The 22-year-old Senegal international has already made an impressive 49 appearances for his national team and showcased his talent at this summer's World Cup. Camara joined Monaco from Metz in 2024 for a fee of 15m euros (£12.8m), having developed his skills in several prestigious Senegalese youth academies.

This summer, Crystal Palace has already made notable additions to their squad:
