In a commanding performance, England thrashed Croatia 7-0 on Saturday, marking the heaviest defeat in Croatian football history. Thomas Tuchel, England's manager, aims to reinvigorate his project following the disappointment of their semi-final exit at the World Cup against Argentina.

Despite the aging Croatian side, England's display was described as "complete" by players and pundits alike. The front four showcased electric pace and clinical finishing, with Elliot Anderson and Alex Scott dominating the midfield.

Key highlights from the match include:

• England's relentless pursuit of possession and forward passing.
• A notable miss from Mateo Kovacic at 3-0, with Croatia struggling to create chances.
• Rob Dorsett from Sky Sports News praised England's ability to "rampage" and dominate the pitch.

Tuchel regarded the victory as the best of his tenure, emphasizing the high speed, technical quality, and hunger displayed by his players. He reflected on the team's shared experiences from the World Cup, highlighting the importance of building a strong "brotherhood" among the squad.

Looking ahead, Tuchel urged caution, acknowledging that the upcoming match against the Czech Republic will present a different challenge. However, the team's morale is boosted by the recent win, and anticipation builds for their crucial encounter against Spain on November 15. This match will be pivotal in assessing how far England has progressed and whether they have learned from past lessons. For now, the 7-0 victory serves as a significant uplift for England and its fans.
