Previously, the largest contract for a kicker was held by Harrison Butker, valued at $25.6 million with guarantees of $15 million. Aubrey's new contract not only surpasses these figures but also sets a new standard for average annual value at $7 million, eclipsing Ka'imi Fairbairn's previous record of $6.5 million.

Aubrey's journey to this achievement is noteworthy. After transitioning from a collegiate and professional soccer career, he joined the USFL's Birmingham Stallions in 2022. Signing with the Cowboys prior to the 2023 season, he quickly established himself as the league's premier kicker, earning three Pro Bowl selections and three All-Pro honors, including a first-team selection in 2023.

With an impressive 88.2% success rate on field goal attempts, Aubrey's standout feature is his kicking distance. He holds the record for the most career field goals of 60+ yards in NFL history, with six such kicks.
