Coventry City has officially re-signed midfielder Gustavo Hamer from Sheffield United on a "long-term" contract for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year-old player previously spent three successful years with the Sky Blues before transferring to Sheffield United in 2023. During his initial tenure at Coventry, Hamer made a significant impact, scoring 19 goals in 132 appearances. His outstanding performance earned him the title of Coventry's Player of the Year for the 2021-22 season.

Expressing his excitement about the move, Hamer stated, "To go to the Premier League with Coventry was something I always dreamt of, so when the club came back in for me, it was very special. I'm very happy."

Hamer's return is seen as a crucial addition to Coventry City as they aim to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
