Promoted Coventry City has made a significant addition to their squad by signing teenage forward Sidiki Cherif from Turkish side Fenerbahce. The 19-year-old player, originally from Guinea and raised in France, joins the Sky Blues on a long-term deal after a promising season, where he netted two goals in 12 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig.

Cherif's journey began in France, where he made his professional debut for Angers in the 2023-24 season. He played a crucial role in Angers' promotion to Ligue 1 in 2024 and showcased his potential by scoring four goals by December in the 2025-26 season. His impressive performances attracted attention across Europe, leading to his move to Fenerbahce, where he also participated in the Uefa Europa League and the current Uefa Champions League qualifiers.
