The fight concluded at the 69-second mark when McGregor, after attempting a running kick, fell multiple times and ultimately signaled to the referee to stop the contest. The official result was recorded as a TKO due to a leg injury.

In a recent Instagram post, McGregor stated:

1. I will have the results of the scan on my leg tomorrow.
2. The fight should be a no contest and all bets returned.

Despite his pleas, the precedent for overturning a fight result under these circumstances is lacking. Most of the bets had favored McGregor, who was facing one of the largest underdog margins of his career.

Currently, the specifics of McGregor's injury remain uncertain, as does his future in the UFC. He has one fight left on his contract, initially set for April 2027. While he expressed willingness to extend his deal, there has been no new contract offered by the promotion.
