Christian Falk has confirmed that Barcelona reached out to the representatives of Harry Kane, the prolific striker for Bayern Munich. In his latest CF Bayern Insider column, Falk stated that while there is genuine interest from Barcelona in acquiring Kane, it appears increasingly likely that he will remain with Bayern.

Kane, who has been in outstanding form, netted 146 goals in 147 games for Bayern, including 61 goals in 51 appearances last season. Barcelona seeks a high-caliber player to fill the void left by departing star Robert Lewandowski, but securing Kane will not be straightforward, as Bayern holds significant control over his future.

Falk, known for his connections within German football, expressed confidence that Kane is not looking to depart from Bayern. He noted that:

It is TRUE: Harry Kane’s representatives were contacted by Barcelona. However, Barcelona has no chance of snatching Kane from Bayern Munich. He wants to stay in Munich and sign a new contract.

Kane prefers to focus on the ongoing World Cup with the English national team before engaging in contract discussions, but Falk believes there will be a resolution soon.

While the prospect of Kane returning to the Premier League is appealing, it currently seems unlikely. Tottenham, his former club, may not be in a position to make a competitive offer, and moving to rivals like Arsenal or Manchester City appears improbable. Other clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United have their own challenges that could deter Kane from making a switch.

At 32, Kane remains in exceptional form and is still a contender to break Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League scoring record, leaving fans to wonder what the future holds for the talented forward.
