Five Northern Ireland boxers are just one win away from securing a medal at the Commonwealth Games, following the draw on Wednesday. The quarter-finals will take place next Tuesday and Wednesday in Glasgow.

Kaci Rock, Michaela Walsh, Jansseen Hill, Garyn McAllister, and Willie John McCartan will represent Northern Ireland in this pivotal stage of the tournament.

• Michaela Walsh, the defending featherweight champion, faces Lara Brown from Scotland in the afternoon session on Wednesday. Walsh aims for her fourth consecutive podium finish after winning silver in 2014 and again at the Gold Coast in 2018.
• Kaci Rock competes against Karen Te Ruki Pasene from Niue on Tuesday afternoon, while heavyweight Garyn McAllister takes on Jibril Muntari from Ghana.
• In the evening session on Wednesday, light-heavyweight Jansseen Hill faces Chantelle Reid, a 2025 World bronze medallist from England, and super-heavyweight Willie John McCartan will meet Daniel Plange from Ghana.

The boxing tournament kicks off on Friday, with bantamweight Louis Rooney first in action against Mathealira Seholoholo from Lesotho. Should Rooney win, he will face Jye Dixon from Australia in the last 16 on Sunday.

Additionally, bantamweight Nicole Clyde begins her challenge on Sunday against Nancy Bamfo from Ghana, while welterweight JP Hale will also compete in the last 16, with his opponent yet to be determined.

On Monday, 2022 featherweight champion Jude Gallagher steps into the ring for the last 16 in the lightweight division, with his opponent still to be announced. Light-heavyweight Eoghan Quinn faces a similar situation, while flyweight Caitlin Fryers meets Zinnat Ferdous from Bangladesh, and light-middleweight Jon McConnell is tasked with Sumit Kundu from India.

All quarter-finals are scheduled for Tuesday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 29, with a rest day on Thursday before the semi-finals on Friday, July 31, and finals on Saturday, August 1.
