Arsenal has finalized a deal with Club Brugge for winger Christos Tzolis, with the transfer fee reported at £34m, marking a record for the Belgian Pro League. The move follows the sale of Leandro Trossard to Besiktas for £17m, leaving Arsenal in search of a new forward.

Tzolis, who previously played for Norwich City, had an impressive season last year, netting 17 goals and providing 23 assists in 36 league appearances. His eagerness to join Arsenal became clear once he learned of the club’s interest, demonstrating his commitment to the Premier League champions.

Sky Sports’ analysis highlights that Tzolis is an ideal replacement for Trossard due to their similar playing styles. Both players are versatile, capable of performing as wingers and also as attacking midfielders. Tzolis's former assistant manager at Club Brugge, Hayk Milkon, noted:

• “He’s strongest the closer he is to the goal.”
• “He runs a lot of kilometres in the game, but also at high speeds.”

Moreover, both players have maintained excellent injury records, with Tzolis having spent no more than two matches sidelined during his time in Belgium. However, Milkon pointed out that Tzolis needs to work on his emotional stability, a trait that Arteta affectionately noted in Trossard, referring to him as “a bit of a moaner.”

As Arsenal prepares for the upcoming season, Tzolis will be expected to contribute significantly, starting with their first five matches, including fixtures against Coventry, Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Sunderland.
