Everton has officially signed midfielder Christian Norgaard from Arsenal on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee, reportedly around £7m. The 32-year-old Denmark international joins the Toffees after a challenging season with Arsenal, where he made 20 appearances across all competitions, but only seven in the Premier League, contributing to the club's first title in 22 years.

Norgaard, who transferred to Arsenal last year for £15m from Brentford, was notably absent from the Gunners' squad during a recent friendly against Real Betis. His time at Brentford was marked by significant success, where he spent six years, captaining the team and making 196 appearances.

In addition to Norgaard, Everton has strengthened their midfield by signing Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough for £16.5m and Tyrique George, a 20-year-old winger from Chelsea, for £18m. George had previously spent the latter part of last season on loan with Everton.

Manager David Moyes has been seeking experienced players to bolster his squad following the departures of veteran players like Seamus Coleman and Idrissa Gueye. Moreover, James Garner is expected to miss the start of the new season due to groin surgery, further emphasizing the need for depth in the squad.
