Christian Falk has discussed the intriguing possibility of Florian Wirtz from Liverpool and Michael Olise from Bayern Munich swapping clubs. Wirtz, who previously impressed at Bayer Leverkusen, was targeted by Bayern before his move to Liverpool. However, his performance at LFC has not met expectations, leading to speculation about his future.

On the other hand, Olise's standout performances for Bayern, alongside his proven track record in the Premier League with Crystal Palace, make him an attractive option for Liverpool as they seek to bolster their squad.

Falk elaborated on the background of Wirtz's connection to Bayern, noting:

• Two secret meetings occurred before Wirtz chose Liverpool.
• Arne Slot played a crucial role in convincing Wirtz to join the Reds.

Currently, the idea of a direct swap remains uncertain. Falk emphasized that Bayern values Olise highly and hopes to retain him long-term. He revealed:

• Max Eberl expressed the need for a decision from Olise regarding a new contract next summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer in 2029.
• If Olise opts to leave, Wirtz could emerge as a viable target for Bayern, given his versatility.

Despite Wirtz's challenges, early signs of improvement this season suggest he might still find his rhythm at Liverpool. The evolving situation surrounding Olise's contract could significantly influence this potential transfer saga.
