Lamine Camara is on the verge of joining Chelsea, with reports indicating that the club is ready to finalize a significant deal for the midfielder. As speculation grows around Enzo Fernandez potentially leaving the Blues this summer, they are taking steps to secure a suitable replacement.

In light of unsuccessful attempts to sign Alex Scott and Adam Wharton, Chelsea has shifted focus to Camara, who plays for AS Monaco. Recent updates suggest a strong consensus among insiders about the move, with Fabrizio Romano noting that Chelsea has made contact with Camara's representatives and engaged in direct discussions with Monaco.

According to Senegalese journalist Lassana Camara, the 22-year-old midfielder is expected to arrive in London this weekend, either on Sunday or Monday, to undergo a medical examination and finalize his contract with Chelsea. This development indicates that negotiations are progressing rapidly.

Key points include:

• Medical scheduled: Camara is set to travel to London for a medical this weekend.
• Transfer fee: Initial offers around £43m were rejected, leading Chelsea to increase their bid significantly.
• Monaco's squad: Camara's participation in Monaco's upcoming match will be a crucial indicator of the deal's status.

As Chelsea fans await confirmation, the club appears poised to enhance its squad with one of the most promising talents in African football.
