Celtic faced another setback against Rangers, suffering a 1-0 defeat in their latest encounter on October 1, 2023. This match marked the second time in a week that Celtic fell to their fierce rivals, having lost 3-0 in the League Cup quarter-finals just days earlier.

The decisive moment came in the 33rd minute when Ryan Naderi capitalized on a rebound, securing the win for Rangers and providing a much-needed boost for manager Derek McInnes after a rocky start in Glasgow.

Despite the atmosphere at Celtic Park, which was filled exclusively with home fans due to the ban on away supporters for this season's clashes, Celtic struggled to find their rhythm. This loss follows a disappointing defeat to Ferencvaros in the Europa League, marking their third consecutive defeat and raising concerns about the team's trajectory under Martin O’Neill.

Key highlights from the match include:

• Celtic's current streak of three losses.
• Rangers' commanding performance, reinforcing their dominance in recent meetings.
• The growing pressure on Celtic as they face increasing scrutiny amidst a potential crisis.
