Paul Lambert has expressed his concerns regarding the current state of Celtic FC, stating that the club is "nowhere near good enough" without further recruitment. Despite the arrival of striker Camilo Duran as the only summer signing so far, Lambert emphasizes the need for additional players to strengthen the squad.

The situation is compounded by the departures of key players. Kelechi Iheanacho has joined Bursaspor as a free agent, while former loanee Marcelo Saracchi confirmed via social media that he will not return to Glasgow. Saracchi stated that he and his agent did everything possible to facilitate a return but ultimately could not make it happen. Additionally, Maik Nawrocki has been sold to Lens, further depleting the squad.

Lambert shared his thoughts during an interview with BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound, stating:

The squad's not strong enough. I've seen Celtic, they're nowhere near good enough at this moment in time, nowhere near it. Everybody recognises it. They'll compete, but I don't think they're strong enough to go and win it [the league] again at this moment in time.

He pointed out that the problems experienced last season persist, asserting that the limited squad depth will be a challenge this season as well. Lambert's remarks reflect a growing concern among fans and analysts about Celtic's readiness for the upcoming challenges in the league.
