Celtic and Hearts are set to embark on their European campaigns this season with some thrilling matchups.

Celtic, the Scottish Premiership champions, will compete in the Europa League against formidable opponents such as Benfica and Marseille. This follows their unexpected exit from the Champions League after conceding a four-goal lead against LASK in the playoff round. In addition to Benfica and Marseille, Celtic will also face Celta Vigo, Besiktas, Omonia, Union SG, and Torreense.

Celtic's first Europa League fixture is scheduled for next month, with the league phase featuring 36 teams playing eight matches each—four at home and four away. The top eight teams will earn automatic spots in the round of 16, while those finishing between ninth and 24th will compete in a two-legged playoff for a chance to advance.

On the other hand, Hearts will meet Mo Salah's Trabzonspor and Monaco in the Conference League. After experiencing setbacks in the Champions and Europa League qualifying, Hearts secured their spot in the Conference League by defeating Rapid Vienna on penalties. Their fixtures will include matches against Borac, Nordsjaelland, Pafos, and Thun. Hearts will kick off their league phase campaign in October, playing six matches—three at home and three away.

Both competitions will culminate with knockout rounds starting in February, leading to the Europa League final on 26 May and the Conference League final on 2 June.
