Casemiro has officially joined Inter Miami on a free transfer after departing Manchester United. The Brazil international inked a deal that extends until the end of the 2027 MLS season, with an option to prolong the contract until 2029.

During his four-year tenure at Old Trafford, Casemiro made significant contributions, including:

• Scoring in the League Cup final victory in 2023.
• Reaching two FA Cup finals, winning the title in 2024.
• Being part of the squad that reached the Europa League final in May 2025.

Upon signing with Inter Miami, Casemiro expressed his motivation:

What motivates me the most, and I think this is true for every player, is winning and continuing to grow. The project the club presented to me, along with the effort everyone made to bring me here, means a lot to me.

He added, "I'm incredibly grateful, and I can't wait to get started so I can repay that trust, not only during the 90 minutes on matchday, but every day in training as well."

Casemiro joined United in August 2022, and although there was an option for a 12-month extension, Sky Sports News reported that the club opted not to renew his contract prior to the season's conclusion.

In the meantime, Manchester United has strengthened their squad by adding Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, while they continue to seek a third midfielder.
